This is a story that makes me incredibly proud. 🥋💙

When a 6th Dan in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu pulls you aside at a seminar and, without knowing the backstory and without even talking about rank, says:

“You need to give this girl her blue belt.”

…you know that a lot has gone right over the past ten years.

She started at Body Masters as a little kid, grew through our programmes just like my son Hunter, and has now been with us for 10 years.

At just 16 years old, the youngest age at which she could receive her BJJ blue belt, she finally got it.

And not simply because we felt the time was right.

She was specifically recommended for it by someone from outside our academy.

But by now, this story is about so much more than just her.

It’s the story of the Krey family. 💙

Over all these years, her family has supported the kids, encouraged them to keep going, and made sure they stayed on the journey even when things got tough.

At some point, her dad stopped just watching from the side.

He stepped onto the mat himself.

He started training, stuck with it — and yesterday, he earned his very own well-deserved blue belt too. 🥋💙

And the little brother has been part of Body Masters since those early days as well.

He’s growing up with Body Masters and martial arts, following his own journey and working towards one day achieving what his big sister has achieved. 💙

What started as the kids’ training has become a true family thing.

And honestly, that’s what Body Masters is all about for me.

It’s not just about handing out belts.

It’s about being there for people and families for years.

Training together.
Growing together.
Reaching goals together.

🌍 FROM ONE IDEA TO AN INTERNATIONAL TEAM

When I started Body Masters in Germany 11 years ago, the idea was actually quite simple: build something I could run myself without needing employees.

Well… this picture tells a slightly different story. 😄

And these aren’t even all of our permanently employed coaches.

Over the years, Body Masters has grown into a real company and an international martial arts concept. It has helped thousands of children and adults become stronger, more confident, disciplined and capable through martial arts.

But I’m equally proud that Body Masters has also created opportunities for people who share our passion. For many, martial arts is no longer just something they love doing. It has become their profession, their career and a way to earn a living doing something they truly believe in.

Behind Body Masters today is a growing team of professional coaches and staff who bring this concept to life every single day.

And now our journey continues in South Africa. 🇿🇦
