The 2025/2026 season was one to remember.
Hermanus Cricket Club dominated the Promotion League, proudly securing 3 out of 5 possible trophies.

While we narrowly missed out on the Mayoral Cup, which would have been our fourth trophy, the team has already set its sights on returning stronger next season — ready to make a heavy statement.

⭐ Eyes on the Premier League ⭐
Our focus now shifts to competing in the Boland Premier League, where we aim to establish ourselves as a competitive force and fulfil all fixtures with professionalism and pride.

⭐ Business League Tournament Returns ⭐
Our flagship fundraiser, the Business League Tournament, will kick off at the end of September, following the completion of our pre‑season groundswork. This event remains one of the most exciting and community‑driven cricket festivals in Hermanus, and we look forward to welcoming all teams, sponsors, and supporters.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT – HERMANUS CRICKET CLUB

Hermanus Cricket Club wishes to clarify our position regarding the Mayoral Cup 2026 promotional poster circulated on social media.

The Club was not consulted, did not approve, and did not consent to the use of our name on the poster specially after we were not included in the tournament. We were approached approximately a month ago to “try and participate” in a short‑notice tournament, but due to prior commitments—we formally communicated that we would not be able to participate and suggested that the event be held in September as a pre‑season tournament, the tournament date was then set for 2nd of May never was communicated with us it would be 16th of May.

Despite this, our club name was included in promotional material without our knowledge prior to no other communication was made available to us.

Hermanus Cricket Club remains committed to supporting cricket development in the Overstrand Municipality region and looks forward to participating in properly planned and fairly communicated events in the future.

📣 Hermanus Cricket Club – AGM Announcement
📅 Date: 1 May 2026

As we conclude one of the most successful seasons in our club’s history, we would like to invite all members, players, supporters, and stakeholders to our Annual General Meeting on 1 May 2026.

This season has been nothing short of exceptional:

• Promotion T20 League Champions
• 50 Over League Champions

🏆 2nd Team
• T20 League Champions
• 2nd Place in the 50 Over League

🏆 3rd Team
• Reached the Cape Winelands T20 Final

These achievements reflect the hard work, commitment, and passion of every player, coach, volunteer, and supporter who continues to push Hermanus Cricket Club forward.

Although we still hold the upper hand over Van der Stel CC in our long‑standing rivalry, we would like to extend our congratulations to them on being crowned Premier League Champions in both the T20 and 50‑over formats. Healthy competition drives the game, and we hope to be a strong challenge to all Premier League clubs in the seasons ahead.

The AGM will give us the opportunity to reflect, plan, and continue building on the momentum of this remarkable year. We encourage all members to attend and be part of shaping the future of our club. We sincerely hope to keep a few clubs on their toes like we are famous for, Hermanus Cricket Club is BACK.
