Good start to the season with an unbeaten weekend of 20min games at the EP Opening Weekend Festival in Port Elizabeth 😁🏑

DSG hockey team had a very busy April holiday and their results prove the teams relentless hard work and commitment.

The first holiday fixture took place in Grahamstown against Renish. It was an intense game of hockey and Renish scored an excellent goal in the last minute to hold DSG to a 1-1 draw.

The team then departed to Cape Town.
Results are as follows:
Springfield: 1-1 draw
St Cyprians: 1-1 draw
Somerset College: 4-0 win

Saints results:
Saints College: 5-1 win
Menlo Park: 1-0 win
Voortrekker: 1-0 loss
Windhoek: 2-0 win
Waterkloof: game was called off at 0-0 due to lightning.

The DSG hockey team travelled to East London to participate in the Greg Beiling Festival ( 7th - 9th March). Unfortunately, the weather odds were against them but they fought hard and produced some impressive results despite the grueling rainstorms. DSG showed a particularly impressive performance against a respected Oranje side, holding the score down to 1-1 until the last 15 minutes.
