Grahamstown Rhythmic Gymnastics

On 22 August, GRG participated in the 2nd Eastern Cape Competition of the year. The gymnasts had a wonderful competition! Here follows the Level 1 to 3 results:

Level 1:
*Zahnri placed 2nd for free dance, ball, and overall
*Quinn placed 5th for free, 4th for ball, and 4th overall
*Jana placed 4th for free dance, 3rd for ball, and 3rd overall
*Cayla placed 1st for free dance, ball, and overall

Level 2:
*Maleeka placed 6th for rope, 8th for hoop, and 8th overall. She also placed 1st for the clubs trio.
*Lulu placed 1st for rope, 6th for hoop, and 2nd overall. She also placed 3rd for the clubs duet.
*Katey placed 4th for rope 2nd for hoop, and 4th overall. She also placed 3rd for the clubs duet.
*Zoe placed 5th for rope, 6th for hoop, and 6th overall. She also placed 1st for the clubs trio.
*Avetandwa placed 5th for rope, hoop, and overall.
*Leah placed 4th for rope, 3rd for hoop, and 3rd overall. She also placed 1st for the clubs trio

Level 3:
*Lulonke placed 2nd for clubs, 1st for Ribbon, and 2nd overall
*Abigale placed 1st for clubs, ribbon, and overall. She also placed 3rd for the ball duet
*Raeleigh placed 4th for clubs, 3rd for Ribbon, and 4th overall. She also placed 3rd for the ball duet
*Laraa placed 1st for clubs, ribbon, and overall
*Chelsea placed 4th for clubs, ribbon, and overall. She also placed 1st in the ball duet
*Izabella placed 1st for clubs, 5th for Ribbon, and 3rd overall. She also placed 1st in the ball duet.
*Alexa placed 9th for clubs, 8th for Ribbon, and 9th overall.
*Lulo placed 8th for clubs, 6th for Ribbon, and 6th overall

A Big congratulations to the Level 1s, 2s, and 3s who all received their RG district colours!

GRG participated in its first ever Eisteddfod in Port Alfred on 21 August. What a wonderful time we had!

GRG also won the category for Best Dancing. Thank you so much to Kings School, Port Alfred for having us.

On 25 July, we attended the Aqua Competition in Jeffreys Bay. What a lovely competition day! We also had two birthday girls who shared the podium on their birthday. Well done gymnasts!!

Our gymnasts had the exciting opportunity to compete in Stilbaai on the 18th of July. They walked away with amazing results and experiences. Thank you so much to Zest Rhythmic Gymnastics for welcoming us. Here follows the results:

*Chelsea Oosthuizen received silver for Clubs, gold for Ribbon, and gold Overall. She also received the overall highest score in Level 3.
*Izabella Gelonese received gold for Clubs, silver for Ribbon, and silver Overall

Chelsea and Izabella competed with the Level 3 Ball Duet and they received Gold!

Level 4:
*Izi received gold for free dance, silver for rope, gold for ball, and gold overall
