Massive Veldfire behind Churchill Water reservoir Primrose Germiston. How ironic. Veld fires is no strage thing and very common. What makes it worse? Fire right by reservoir not providing water. Little to no water in or from reservoir to a large area. High, slight hilly area and little to no maintenance of grass and open areas near the reservoir. Who is to blame (Rand Water or Ekurhuleni? ? ?), Add to that, many in area no power for several days. The cold and homeless add on. Now how is residents expected to live and protect their property

Kokoriba Game Reserve is a popular, family-friendly Bushveld destination in the North West Province, situated near Beestekraal—just 38 km from Brits, 54 km from Rustenburg, and approximately 120 km from Pretoria. Kokoriba offers a peaceful getaway featuring self-catering chalets, over 100 caravan sites, and swimming pools.

Activities and Amenities: The Bushveld setting is home to more than 300 bird species, making it ideal for leisurely game viewing and birdwatching within the small private game reserve. Kokoriba offers game drives, mini-golf, a children's playground, hiking trails, a restaurant, and an on-site shop for basic necessities (such as firewood, ice, treats for children and adults, and even small toys), as well as neat ablution facilities and regular holiday entertainment programs and many more.
