Please help us protect our trails and the beautiful natural environment around George.
With dry vegetation and strong winds, an unattended flame can quickly become a veld fire. We have recently seen burning candles left beside a trail, with nearby grass already starting to catch alight. Thankfully, alert trail users discovered and extinguished the flames before the situation became much worse.
Please do not use or leave candles, fires or any other open flames unattended on our trails or in the veld.
A small flame can have devastating consequences.
Please stay vigilant, report anything that looks unsafe, and help us keep George’s trails safe for everyone.
