What a performance by our Knights! ♞

Our boys finished 2nd at the Eden Quadrangular Inter Blitz – Wilderness Leg, narrowly going down 3–2 to the hosts, Wilderness, in the decisive 5th round.

The team arrived focused, determined, and ready for battle. They gave their all and represented the club with pride throughout the event.

A sincere thank you to Faire Knows, Wilderness Chess Club, and the Eden Quadrangular LOC for hosting such a well-organised and enjoyable tournament.

The chess world mourns the passing of 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻, widely regarded as “the best of the West” during the era dominated by Soviet champions.

A former World Championship challenger and elite grandmaster for decades, Timman was known for his creative, fighting style and deep understanding of the game. Beyond the board, he also made lasting contributions as a respected chess author and thinker.

His legacy lives on through his games, books, and the generations of players he inspired.
