I’m sitting with a feeling of gratitude for a beautiful day yesterday, spent with some truly amazing, insightful and knowledgeable women who genuinely care for one another and for the wellbeing of others. ❤️

It was such an honour to be asked to lead them through a gentle yoga flow and create a space where they could simply breathe, move their bodies and enjoy a little time for themselves.

It was wonderful to hear from the guest speakers, to share ideas, stories and laughter, and just to spend some special time in the company of such incredible women.

I left feeling inspired, grateful and very blessed to have been part of it.

A grateful heart indeed. 🌻❤️

Today I am feeling grateful for the opportunity to speak at the St Albans Anglican Church fundraiser on behalf of Masithethe Counselling Services.

It was a privilege to share about the amazing work Masithethe offers our community and remind the beautiful ladies at this special high tea that self care is important. 🙏🏻

Thank you to everyone involved, it was such a lovely morning 🤍

"Steady Through the Pause": To the Woman Who Carries Everyone**
The kids still need you.
Your ageing parents need you.
Work depends on you.
The house looks to you.
And now, you are changing too.

The hormonal shifts of menopause, combined with the mental load of midlife, can leave you feeling anxious, exhausted, forgetful, and overwhelmed. This isn’t a sign of weakness; it's a lot to manage.

This workshop is a safe space for you to exhale and centre yourself so you don’t get lost in everyone else’s needs.

What to Expect:
1. Talk with a Clinical Psychologist** - Understand the mental and emotional strain of menopause and learn practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, and brain fog.
2. Move with a Yoga Specialist - Engage in gentle practices to calm your nervous system, improve sleep, and reconnect with your body.
3. Community & Support - Connect with other women who are in the same stage of life: raising children, caring for ageing parents, and navigating "the pause."

As a surviving sibling, I have walked a path that no one expects to walk. We are meant to grow old with our brothers and sisters, sharing each stage of life together. When a sibling dies, that future is forever changed.

One thing I have come to realise is how important support is after losing a sibling. It helps to know that you are not alone, that there are others who truly understand this unique kind of grief. Together, we can hold each other up through the difficult days and celebrate the victories, big and small, as we continue moving forward.

If you are walking this path, I would love to invite you to join our small, supportive group. There is no pressure, no expectations—just a safe space where you can be understood, supported, and reminded that you don't have to carry this journey alone. 🌻

Why a sunflower? To me, the sunflower is a symbol of hope and connection. There's a beautiful saying that when sunflowers can't find the sun, they turn toward each other. Whether taken literally or as a metaphor, it reminds us that when life feels dark, we can find strength, comfort, and light in one another. That's what this group is all about. 🤍
