The 2026 Junior SA Champs has officially come to an end.

It’s been a long, rewarding week for both horses and riders, filled with incredible performances, personal bests, unforgettable memories, and so many lessons along the way.

We travelled with 5 riders and 6 horses, and the greatest achievement of all is that everyone came home smiling. There was plenty of fun, invaluable experience gained, challenges overcome, and through it all, our horses always came first. That is something we are incredibly proud of.

It has been such a privilege to stand alongside this wonderful team and to have the unwavering support of our parents every step of the way.

❤️ To our yard owner, for the years of guidance, knowledge, and dedication to the wellbeing of our horses. They looked absolutely incredible all week, and that’s a true reflection of the foundation you’ve helped build.

❤️ To our amazing grooms, thank you for the endless care, early mornings and pride you take in looking after our horses. They were beautifully turned out, happy, and shining every day.

❤️ To our parents, thank you for your constant encouragement, patience, organisation, and unwavering support. Your willingness to help wherever needed and your belief in our team never goes unnoticed.

❤️ To Rachel and Scarlet, thank you for being there in the warm-up arenas. It’s one of the most stressful places to be during shows, and your calm support and extra hands made such a difference.

❤️ And finally, to our incredible horses… thank you. Thank you for your hearts, your trust, and your generosity. You carried our riders safely, gave everything you had, and reminded us every day why we love this sport so much. You are, and always will be, the true champions.

We had 3 riders and 4 horses that went to compete their hearts out at the Waterwoods Youth Festival, starting the weekend off on Thursday and coming home on Sunday.

Leander and Lynx 1.10
Stepping into the most beautiful arena with the most amazing colorful jumps, Lynx was ‘shell shocked’. He tried his hardest and jumped his little heart out! Every day he got more and more confident, ending his weekend with a 7th place in the championship class. Stunning to watch and so well deserved! Big things to come for this partnership 🎖️🤩.

Leander and Louie 1m
Not a day went past without Louie bucking, in the arena, out of the arena, warm-up arena, probably in the stable as well! What an amazing performance from both rider and horse! Nerve-wracking, stress-watching, excitement-watching 😬😬. 4th and a 6th in the championship class! Well done, boys!!!

Ana Mae and Georgi (G.I Jane) 90cm
The beautiful venue, the crisp air, the beautiful scenery, and then you get Georgie, WILD!!! Such a beautiful round on day one, earning a 3rd place 🥉!! Then Georgie realized there were fish in the arena, well that was that 🤣🤣. Day 2 was a win, but unfortunately, Georgie performed by going past the fish (not over but past) and they hit the last jump! Very well ridden and fun to watch 😬😬.

Scarlet and Scott 90cm
The calmest and most chilled horse among the bunch, and he just cantered around a track as if he was on a Sunday stroll! Had a bit of a lazy jump over one jump in each round, but it’s Scott, and we know him, and we love him. Mom was happy, as mom and Scott have the same mindset; very well done and really nice rounds.

Congratulations to you all! It was fun, and we had an awesome time. Riding, chilling, bonding, floating, living our best three days.
