🐴Pony Camp 134 : Pre-Intermediate. (day 4 of 5)
🌟NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP🌟
Natural Horsemanship is working with a horse’s natural instincts instead of forcing it. We learn to think like a horse and communicate using body language, pressure, and release.
Instead of punishment, we use:
• Respect and trust — the horse chooses to be with you
• Pressure and release — ask lightly, release when the horse tries
• Body language — your posture, eyes, and energy tell the horse what you want
It’s about making the right thing easy and the wrong thing difficult, so the horse understands and feels safe. A calm, confident horse is a willing partner.
Thank you Glyn Redgrave for coming to do a session with Tibbs and Apollo. The campers learnt so much.

🌟FALLING OFF HORSES SAFELY🌟
At Pony Camp we practice falling safely! We learn to let go, keep our arms in, bend our knees, and roll away from the pony. No stiff arms or grabbing — that’s how we stay safe. Knowing how to fall the right way makes us braver riders and keeps us smiling in the saddle.

🌟BAREFOOT TRIMMING🌟
What a Barefoot Farrier Does ….
A barefoot farrier looks after our ponies’ hooves without using shoes. They trim and balance the hooves to keep them strong, healthy, and comfy for running and playing. Good hoof care helps our ponies move naturally, prevents soreness, and keeps them happy on all kinds of ground.
