Evolution of Surfski’s - Video 3.
The response to the first two videos has been overwhelming to say the least. If any of the content of these videos serves to answer some of questions we hear repeatedly, then they will have served their purpose.

Siyaphambili Surfski Series Durban 11 July 2026 - great to see a growing representation of our craft in this competitive local surfski racing series covering all our current models of single and double Surfskis across all ages.
VIDEO 2 - Custom home built Surfskis - Before going into our current range of surfskis and why they look the way they do, I thought I would touch briefly on custom home made surfskis and the role they played in the development of today’s ocean paddling craft.

Earlier this year a customer took delivery of an all black impressively light epoxy carbon APEX 2 double ski. Paddling in a mixed doubles combination conquering the Freedom Paddle around Robin Island for the first time. He has gone from strength to strength since then but sadly his double met with an accident recently, writing it off. An urgent plea for assistance in order to get him back on the water for this weeks annual Scottburgh to Brighton Marathon saw us down tools on other work and make a replacement for him urgently. The satisfactory outcome for us is that the same carbon layup, but using new imported grades has produced an even lighter ski.
Love this job!

A warm smile krept on to my face as I drove past the DUC surfski club on my way to the King of the Bay surfski race and I glanced over at one of their club trailers loaded on its way to the race. Their trailer stacked with a majority of our range of single and double Surfskis. How things can change in a year previously dominated by other brands. Even more exciting is the effect it will have, with us about to launch two new models. Watch this space!
