URGENT NOTICE!!!

Hi All, due to the ABSA Run the City 10km running event that takes place through Durban on Sunday 12th July and the recently published race route with road closures, it has become obvious to us that it is not going to be possible for swimmers to get to Marine Surf Lifesaving Club easily!!

With this in mind we believe it is better to postpone Race # 6 - Sunday 12th July to one of our back up dates in August 2026!!

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and look forward to seeing you at the next swim Race # 7 - Sunday 19th July 2026!!

Well done to all who swam yesterday Race # 5, conditions were perfect & water temperature was excellent!!

Quick turnaround this week with our next swim this Sunday 12th July at Marine Surf Lifesaving Club!!

Entries are open at www.dolphinmile.co.za
and will close at 17:00 on Friday 10th July.

Race # 5 takes place tomorrow morning Sunday 5th April. Conditions are looking spectacular with weather & surf looking ideal for the swim!! Light westerly wind with small surf conditions expected at Marine Surf Lifesaving Club!!

We have 800m, 1.6km & 3.2km distance races taking place.

Late entries will be taken on the day in the Marine Clubhouse!!

A big congratulations to all our swimmers who achieved medal milestones at Race # 3 of the 2026 Dolphin Mile Swim Series!!
A very special mention to Paul Judkins swimming his 110th swim!! Congratulations to Dawn Lloyd & Jimmy Hughes on completing their 90th swim’s!!

We will hand out their medals at prize giving after next Sundays race!!

With the postponement of Race # 4 of the Dolphin Mile Swim Series last weekend, we move onto Race # 5 taking place the following Sunday 5th July!!
Race # 4 will take place on one of the August back-up dates!!
Credits from Race # 4 entries can be used for any of the remaining races of the 2026 series!!

Hi All, after much deliberation we have had to make the tough decision to postpone Race # 4 on Sunday 21st June!!
There is a fairly brisk North Easterly wind predicted to come through at lunchtime on Saturday and will blow through Sunday which will make conditions unfavorable to swim in as well as the probable appearance of Blue Bottles. Many swimmers travel from long distances and it was felt it better to inform everyone earlier.
All entries will be credited to any of the remaining swim’s including the back up dates.
Apologies for the inconvenience, but as you are aware safety of our swimmers is of upmost importance.

Congratulations to the 22 new Dolphin Milers who completed their 1st Dolphin Mile (1,6km or 3,2km) at Race # 3 that took place on the 17th of May 2026!!!
We hope your 1st Dolphin Mile experience was enjoyable and we look forward to seeing you at many more.
