Did you know during low tide, this shipwreck from 1940 is visible? 🤯🌊
This is the remains of the Ovington Court, a 6,000-ton cargo ship that ran aground right here off Durban’s Addington Beach on November 25, 1940. A massive storm caused its anchors to drag, and a huge wave flooded the engine room, killing the boiler fires and leaving it stranded.
If you look closely when the tide drops, you can still see them fighting the crashing shorebreak! 🇿🇦⚓
