JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) is thrilled to announce that tickets for the highly anticipated 2026/27 international season are officially on sale, inviting fans across the country to come together for a summer filled with fierce rivalries in world cricket.
The 2026/27 season will see Temba Bavuma’s side take on Australia in a three-match ODI series in September, before the reigning ICC World Test Champions (WTC) face them in a three-match Test series starting in October.
Supporters can look forward to these two arch-rivals going head-to-head in iconic moments including the Pink Day ODI at the DP World Wanderers Stadium on 27 September.
The Proteas then welcome Bangladesh for an all-format tour, which includes two Test matches in November, followed by a three-match ODI series in early December.
The international home summer then reaches its peak with the arrival of England over the festive period for a three-match Test series, including the iconic Boxing Day Test at SuperSport Park and the prestigious New Year’s Test at the World Sports Betting Newlands Cricket Ground.
The two teams will round off with a three-match ODI series in January as the Proteas continue building towards the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 on home soil.
The Proteas Women will headline another landmark season as they welcome India and Australia for two major inbound tours.
India’s tour will feature three ICC Women’s Championship ODI contests and a historic one-off Test match at Dafabet St George’s Park, with matches also taking place in Potchefstroom, Bloemfontein and Cape Town.
In another milestone moment for women’s cricket in South Africa, Australia Women will tour the country for the first-ever full bilateral series between the two sides on South African soil.
The tour will feature three T20 Internationals and three ODIs, including the symbolic Black Day fixture at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium on 03 April 2027, followed by the once-off Test match at the JB Marks oval.
CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki said:
“This season is about more than cricket; it is about bringing South Africans together through shared moments and unforgettable experiences. Whether it is families enjoying a day at the stadium, friends travelling together for a Test match, or first-time fans experiencing the atmosphere for the very first time, cricket continues to unite people in a unique way.
“The 2026/27 season promises world-class cricket across both the men’s and women’s game, and we encourage supporters to secure their tickets early and be part of a summer where the unbreakable spirit of South African cricket truly comes alive.”
Fans can purchase tickets and find more information on fixtures and venues via the CSA website and the new Cricket SA Mobile App.

JOHANNESBURG: The 2025/26 1 Day Cup begins this week as the country's best domestic teams battle it out for the coveted 50 over title which will close out the season.
It's been a jam-packed season of cricket with the Dafabet Warriors and DP World Lions winning the T20 Challenge and 4 Day Series titles, respectively.
The teams go into the 1 Day Cup trying to take the title off the Hollywoodbets Dolphins who beat Goldrush Boland in the final last season.
Ahead of the tournament, Dolphins coach Quinton Friend knows that his team will be doing all they can to win back-to-back 50 over titles.
"There is definitely motivation to defend our title in the 1 Day Cup," Friend said. "We've had significant time to prepare for the competition, but we must remember that it is a new season.
"Last season we got onto a good run of form after the first quarter of the competition and managed to win seven on the trot to win the tournament.
"I still think that it's important that you start the tournament well because you don't want to play catch-up cricket.
"We've trained exceptionally well and at the stage the boys are ready to go and are excited for the challenge that's to come."
The Dolphins will face the Warriors in the competition opener down in Gqeberha at St George's Park on Friday afternoon before the tournament kicks into gear over the weekend.
In match two the DP World Lions will host World Sports Betting Western Province on Saturday before two matches take place on Sunday.
The Momentum Multiply Titans take on Goldrush Boland at SuperSport Park while the Moothee Ram Tuskers host the NWU North West Dragons at the AET Pietermaritzburg Oval.
Making the early trip to the Eastern Cape will be a difficult task for Friend and his Dolphins chargers.
"The Warriors are quality outfit, we know that. They are well drilled and well coached with high quality players.
"We have got to make sure that we do our homework properly which we have been doing and make sure that we are at our best and control what we can control going into that opening match," Friend added.
The season's 1 Day Cup will culminate in the final on Sunday, 29 March.

Hollywoodbets Kingsmead set for Australia block-busters 🇿🇦🇦🇺
Durban - Cricket South Africa recently announced the Proteas men's schedule for the 2026/27 summer and Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium will host the Proteas against Australia for two block-buster international matches.
The Proteas will take on rivals Australia in a three-match ODI and three test match tour which will see Kingsmead host the first ODI and the first test match of each series.
The tour begins on 24 September when South Africa and Australia lock horns in the first of three ODI's at Kingsmead. The second match will take place at the DP World Wanderers in Johannesburg, and the final match is at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom.
The visiting Australians will face our World Test Champions in the first test of the series at Kingsmead from 9-13 October.
The previous meeting between the two sides in Durban in 2018 was full of drama and given how the Proteas beat Australia in the World Test Championship final in 2025, there is going to be a lot riding on the series.
The two teams have played out some epic matches at Kingsmead in both red and white ball cricket with the match-winning partnership between David Miller and Andile Phehlukwayo in 2016 being a shining light for Proteas supporters from an ODI perspective.
The Proteas chased down 372 to beat Australia on that night and that was the last time the two sides have met in an ODI at Kingsmead.
Kingsmead has been a difficult venue for the Proteas against Australia in test cricket with a last win over them coming in 2002 when South Africa won by five wickets.
2026 provides the players and the fans with the perfect opportunity to watch South Africa beat Australia in Durban in a test match for the first time in 24 years.
The Proteas are currently unbeaten in their last two test matches at Kingsmead with convincing victories over Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
"To have a test match back at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium is incredibly exciting for us and for Proteas fans in KZN," CEO of KZN Cricket Heinrich Strydom said. "To have a repeat of the ICC World Test Championship final is even more special and there will be so much riding on the match.
"To host the first test match of the summer is an honour and we look forward to welcoming the die-hard cricket fans back to Kingsmead for some exciting international cricket."
Strydom is equally excited for the ODI that will be coming to Durban against Australia.
"With the ICC Men's 50 Over World Cup coming to South Africa next year, the interest in 50 over cricket is going to be at an all-time high," Strydom added.
"We know what a powerhouse ODI team Australia is and we know it's going to be a fantastic 50 over match between two of the best teams in the world."
