After last week’s race, I took some time out to do something I love nearly as much as racing…

(Yes, fishing 😂)

A little downtime before we get back to work.
Now the focus shifts to prepping for Killarney next month! 🙌

In case anyone is wondering what my team is like…

Aqil Alibhai Racing is currently leading the championship. Last weekend, he absolutely smashed it, taking P1 for the day. Not only is he incredibly quick and has amazing racecraft, but he is also a gentleman with the best soul.

Anastasia Gerasis Racing made history last weekend by becoming the first woman ever to stand on an MSA4 podium, showing that this sport is not just for men, and during Women’s Month, too! Her determination and grit is inspiring!

But the real team are the people you don’t see standing on the podium: the mechanics, the coaches, the management and last but not least our parents standing on the sidelines, our biggest fans

That is what makes a real team.

Chase Haskins showed tremendous determination during a bruising Investchem MSA4 weekend at Aldo Scribante.

A first-lap racing incident ended his opening race, leaving the Kokoro Racing Academy team working against the clock to repair his car. Further contact in Race 2 bent the wishbone and made the car increasingly difficult to steer, but Chase refused to give up and fought his way to fifth place.

A determined performance from the young rookie when the odds were firmly stacked against him.

Race Weekend Recap 🏁

Chase put the car in P2 in qualifying, showing the pace was there from the start.
Race 1 unfortunately ended early after Chase was caught up in a racing incident - one of those moments in motorsport that’s simply out of your hands.

He came back fighting in Race 2, bringing it home P5 and putting together a solid finish to the weekend.
Even better, the team finished in the Top 5.

Not every weekend goes exactly to plan, but the pace, the fight and the teamwork are what we take forward.

On to the next one. 🏁🔥

The revised calendar has presented Chase Haskins with another opportunity at Aldo Scribante Racetrack.

Following a challenging maiden Investchem MSA4 outing at the Eastern Cape circuit, the 14-year-old rookie returns with greater experience, valuable track knowledge and plenty of determination.

Can Chase turn those lessons into a stronger result on his second visit?

Weekend Recap - Back in karting

It was a tough weekend for Chase.

On Day 1, his chassis broke in the final heat, bringing Day 1 to an abrupt halt.

But if there’s one thing motorsport teaches you, it’s resilience.

The team worked tirelessly to get Chase back on track for Day 2, piecing together a temporary chassis just so he could race as sitting on the sidelines was never an option.

The results weren’t what he was hoping for, but Chase was determined to see the chequered flag, and that’s exactly what he did.

So, where does this leave his karting journey?

Right now, the focus remains firmly on his single-seater SA F4 car racing.
There are no immediate plans to replace the damaged chassis, so for now, his karting future is uncertain.

Time will tell what comes next.

The hard truth around motorsport highlighted by some of the top F1 drivers.

We don’t know exactly what lies ahead for Chase, but as long as he wants to race, his parents will continue to hustle (hard), keep knocking on doors, and pursue every opportunity to ensure he can keep chasing his dream.

Here’s to the next opportunity, the next race, and to everyone who believes in empowering the next generation of racers.
