Your truth isn’t waiting to be polished.
It’s waiting to be heard.
Don’t rewrite yourself into perfection.
Let the rawness stay.
That’s where the light gets in...

What is Soul Voice Writing, and why does it matter for your book?
When I speak about Soul Voice Writing, I’m talking about writing that begins where language meets consciousness. It’s not about what you know or even what you’ve lived; rather, it is what is revealed through you.
So many writers approach their books as if they are constructing something—building chapters, shaping ideas, curating a message. But the most powerful writing does not come from construction. It comes from revelation. The kind of revelation that asks you to listen deeply to your intuition, your patterns, your silences, and the emotional undercurrents that have been waiting for language.
Your soul voice is not something you invent. It’s something you remember. It carries the tone of your lived truth; the unvarnished, resonant, and wise part of you that is always there, but which we have become habituated to push into the background.
When you write from that place, your work stops trying to impress and begins to transmit. Readers feel the difference immediately. They’re not being persuaded, they’re being met.
As a mentor, teacher, and developmental editor, my work is to help you access that place within yourself. I don’t impose structure; I reveal alignment. I don’t only help you shape your sentences; I uncover your intention. Together, we refine both the voice and the vessel, so your book becomes a clear channel for what your soul came here to say.
Soul Voice Writing isn’t just a creative process, it’s a return. A remembering of your authentic expression, and the courage to bring it forward fully. And that is where the real writing begins.
Every writer reaches a point where craft alone is no longer enough. The next evolution of your writing and your life requires something deeper: the integration of your inner truth with your outward voice. That is the essence of Soul Voice Writing.
My current mentorship spaces and editorial collaborations are designed for authors who are ready to move beyond performance and into soul presence, where your book becomes a living expression of your highest work.
Are you ready? Will you choose to remember your most authentic expression and connection?

Turn off all notifications while you write. Your phone is your book's worst enemy. Put your phone in another room or on silent. Just 3 phone checks in an hour can cut your productivity in half. Also a shout out to Natalia Baker on her book Seize the Day:A Guidebook for Changing Times which I keep on my nightstand. I highly recommend it and believe you can write such a book too. I was privileged to receive a session with the time of receiving it and Kerry foresaw I would be putting healers on the stage (?) Thanks to Hestie Hartzenberg Norval who invited me at that time. Grateful for everyone and everything!

Your words must be a map, not a billboard.
Let the sentences open rooms inside the reader — rooms they already carry.
Write toward the places your heart has hidden, even from you — the ache, the witness, the quiet insistence.
When the page no longer echoes your identity, but remembers your depth — there authority is born.

The first time you sit down to write, you imagine that you are the one holding the pen, directing the story, orchestrating every line as if you were the master of the page. But then, quietly, almost imperceptibly, something shifts. The book begins to turn its gaze back on you. What you thought you were writing about becomes what you are writing through. And in that mirror of space and silence, you realize: the book is writing you.

This is the essence of SoulVoice writing. It is not simply a method of producing chapters, scenes, or polished prose. It is a journey into your most sacred interiors: the caverns of memory, the echoes of unspoken truths, the parts of yourself you thought were long-buried or inaccessible. When we write from SoulVoice, we do not construct narratives from intellect alone; we allow the page to lead us into conversations with our higher self, with the divine intelligence that lives in the marrow of our being.

The transformation begins subtly. A sentence emerges that makes your chest tighten. A fragment of dialogue that is not yours, but has lived within you for years, seeking its chance to be heard. In writing it, you are no longer merely composing, you are confessing, cleansing, and reclaiming parts of yourself that longed for articulation. The book asks you to remember. The book asks you to feel. And the book - if you allow it - asks you to heal.

Every writer believes they are crafting a narrative, but what they are truly crafting is a new self. Page by page, you are taught who you are willing to become. The story demands courage. It confronts you with your blind spots, your unprocessed grief, your unacknowledged desires. It will not let you settle for the superficial. And so you surrender, not to the book as product, but to the book as process, as your sacred initiation that becomes your personal evolution.

My coaching in SoulVoice writing is not about technique alone; it is about initiation into this deeper dialogue. We enter the quiet, we listen, we ask the unasked questions. We do not hurry to shape the story into something marketable, neat, or palatable. We let it breathe. We let it speak. We let it reveal to us the parts of ourselves that we have silenced. And through this unveiling, we are transformed, not just as writers, but as human beings who have dared to meet themselves fully on the page.

The book you write becomes the vessel for your becoming. It is both mirror and map. You step into it with trembling hands, and you step out with a new skin, a new wholeness, a new clarity about who you are and what you are here to offer the world.

Writing, then, is not a task. It is a pilgrimage in search of your personal holy grail. And the question is never merely, what story do you want to tell? The question is: what story is waiting to tell you?

Most aspiring authors overcomplicate their structure. They think more chapters equate to more value. But what actually happens? Your message gets diluted, and readers drop off halfway through.
The most effective nonfiction books don’t try to say everything; they say the right things, in the right order.
A streamlined structure of 8 to 12 chapters is more than a formatting guideline, nit’s a strategic decision.
Here’s why it works:
– It forces clarity in your thinking. You focus on delivering your core message, not wandering into tangents.
– It’s easier to pace, outline, and revise. You can map your chapters to your client journey or signature framework.
– From a publishing perspective, this range fits well within a 40,000–60,000 word count, which is credible for business nonfiction and digestible for busy readers.
– And if you plan to adapt the book into a course, keynote, or signature talk, fewer chapters make your intellectual property easier to translate across platforms.
As a benchmark: 10 chapters at 4,000–5,000 words per chapter is often enough to establish authority without exhausting the reader—or the writer.
ProTip: a strong chapter isn’t just a ā€œbucket of information.ā€ Each chapter should function like a building block in your brand architecture, walking the reader closer to a mindset shift, belief upgrade, or business result.
Your reader doesn’t want volume. They want value. Clarity wins.
Follow for frameworks that help experts and entrepreneurs write books that build businesses, share valuable knowledge and encourage others to grow—not just fill pages.
