Congratulations to Emma Hibbert on an outstanding achievement! Emma was a member of the Western Province U18A Hockey team, which claimed the National U18 title at the IPT in Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal. To top off an incredible tournament, she was also selected for the South African U18B team. We are immensely proud of your success, well done!

Exploring Measurement in Stage 5 📏⚖️
Our Stage 5 children explored measurement this term! Using water, sand, seeds, orbeez, scales and blocks, they investigated weight, length, height and capacity.
From measuring dinosaurs and spiders with blocks to discovering how many scoops filled different sized cups, the children explored concepts like full, half full and empty through hands-on experiences.
Learning through play makes mathematical thinking meaningful, helping children build understanding through exploration, curiosity and discovery. 🤩

Western Province selection
Congratulations to Lené Hoon and Eva Hacking, who have been selected to represent Western Province for U14 and U16, respectively.
There were 4 rigorous rounds of trials with over 200 entries. The top 3 players in each position were selected in their age groups.
Unfortunately, Eva injured her ankle in a training session and will have to miss the tournament. However, Lené will be representing WP in a tournament from 15-18 July in Bredasdorp.
