Back in Belgium, but leaving behind a lasting impact in South Africa.

As we bid farewell to our fourth and final international intern from KdG - Karel de Grote Hogeschool, we celebrate a journey filled with learning, connection, growth, and meaningful moments. Through her compassion, dedication, and willingness to embrace new experiences, she touched the lives of many young people and became a valued part of the Play Sport4Life family.

Although her internship has come to an end, the friendships, memories, and lessons shared will continue to inspire us all.

As our third International Social Work Intern student from KDG University in Belgium settles back home, we take a moment to reflect on the meaningful journey she shared with our organisation, our learners, and our community.

While the distance between South Africa and Belgium may be great, the friendships, memories, and lessons gained will continue to bridge that gap for years to come.

Thank you for sharing your passion, compassion, and dedication with us. We are grateful and proud to have been part of your learning journey.

As another chapter comes to a close, we say farewell to our second international intern from KdG - Karel de Grote Hogeschool.

While his time with us may have been temporary, the impact he leaves behind will last far longer. Through his enthusiasm, compassion, and willingness to immerse himself in our community, he became more than just an intern. He became a mentor, role model, and an important part of Play Sport4Life’s and our mission of promoting an active lifestyle amongst our youth within the school space and beyond.

The beauty of international partnerships is not only in the knowledge shared, but in the connections created. Our learners were given the opportunity to engage with someone from a different part of the world, while he experienced firsthand the resilience, energy, and potential that exists within our communities.
