This Heritage Day, three hikers and one guide set out on a four-day, approximately 54 km, fully self-supported expedition via Judges Pass to Mafadi—South Africa’s highest point at 3,450 m.

The training is done. The packs are ready. The mission is set.

Over 50s Club 🥾

We don’t do “act your age.”
We do river crossings, rock scrambling, vertical climbs out of gorges, good laughs and stories for days.

The trail reminded us again: adventure has no expiry date, only attitude, courage and a good pair of hiking shoes.

Here’s to redefining what over 50 looks like, one wild trail at a time.

We came for the hike… Dome Pools had a splashier ending in mind! 😂🥾💦

Golden grass, rocky trails, little waterfalls and pools that tempted us to do more than dip our toes. Add this lovely bunch of adventurers, and you’ve got a day worth replaying. ⛰️💛

Some of the best memories happen between the kilometres — a shared laugh, a photo stop and a moment to simply soak it all in.
