A different kind of Monday reminder…

Maybe it isn’t laziness.

Maybe you’ve spent so long associating movement with guilt, punishment, comparison, or failure that your mind has learned to avoid it.

Most people don’t struggle because they don’t care.
In fact, they often care deeply.

They care every time they promise themselves,
“This week will be different.”

The human mind is incredibly protective. If something repeatedly makes us feel shame, it creates resistance. Not because we’re weak, but because we’re human.

So before you tell yourself that you need more discipline, ask yourself if what you actually need is a little more compassion.

You don’t have to earn the right to move your body.
You don’t need the perfect workout or the perfect Monday.

Just start where you are.

A five-minute walk.
A few stretches.
One song you dance to in the kitchen.

Small acts of movement tell your nervous system,
“We’re safe. We’re doing this because we care about ourselves, not because we’re trying to fix ourselves.”

Maybe that’s what real Monday motivation looks like.

Not becoming someone new.

Simply remembering that your body was never the enemy.
