A different kind of Monday reminderâŚ
Maybe it isnât laziness.
Maybe youâve spent so long associating movement with guilt, punishment, comparison, or failure that your mind has learned to avoid it.
Most people donât struggle because they donât care.
In fact, they often care deeply.
They care every time they promise themselves,
âThis week will be different.â
The human mind is incredibly protective. If something repeatedly makes us feel shame, it creates resistance. Not because weâre weak, but because weâre human.
So before you tell yourself that you need more discipline, ask yourself if what you actually need is a little more compassion.
You donât have to earn the right to move your body.
You donât need the perfect workout or the perfect Monday.
Just start where you are.
A five-minute walk.
A few stretches.
One song you dance to in the kitchen.
Small acts of movement tell your nervous system,
âWeâre safe. Weâre doing this because we care about ourselves, not because weâre trying to fix ourselves.â
Maybe thatâs what real Monday motivation looks like.
Not becoming someone new.
Simply remembering that your body was never the enemy.
