Hydration is only part of the equation.

Carbohydrates provide fuel. Electrolytes help replace what you lose through sweat.

The right drink can help you cover both, one bottle at a time.

More carbs. Less cost. More value in every gel.

When you’re fuelling long rides and hard sessions, every gram counts. So does every rand.

Here’s how our gels compare when you look at the cost per gram of carbohydrate:
High Fructose: R1.51/g
High Energy: R1.74/g
High Fructose XS: R2.07/g
High Energy XS: R2.17/g

More carbs for your buck means more fuel to keep you moving.

How many carbs do you actually need on the bike? 🚴

There’s no magic number that works for everyone. Your needs will depend on the duration and intensity of your ride, your goals and, importantly, what your body is used to.

As a general guide, you’ll often see:

30–60 g/hour for moderate-length endurance rides
60–90 g/hour for longer or more demanding sessions
90+ g/hour for long, high-intensity efforts and athletes who have trained their gut to handle higher carbohydrate intake

More isn’t automatically better. The goal is to find a fuelling strategy that works for you and practise it in training before race day.

Fuel your training like you train your fitness.
