Strong communities start with people who lead, inspire, and create opportunities. This Women’s Month, we’re celebrating our female coaches.

At AW Barnes Primary School in Parkside, Eastern Cape, our female team of Champions led learners through physical and health education activities, showing them how to build healthy habits, confidence, and a love for being active. 🍎📚💪🏼

By employing and supporting women as community coaches, we’re creating opportunities for women while strengthening the communities where we work.

Here’s to women who coach, lead, inspire, and make a difference—on and off the field.🧡

Ready, Set, Go! 🍎📚🤸🏾‍♀️ Disney Healthy Happy Play has landed in the Eastern Cape!

Kicking off on Friday, our Champions brought Physical and Health Education activation to Fanti Gaqa Primary School in Mdantsane through physical activity, movement, interactive fun challenges, and nutrition education.

The learners had the opportunity to learn about physical development and healthy habits while having fun, staying active, and engaging with one another and our Champions.💪🏽

A big thank you to Disney Africa Channels and Mercedes-Benz South Africa for their continued support in bringing quality Physical and Health Education to more under-resourced communities across South Africa.

Stay tuned as continues across the Eastern Cape—we'll be sharing more stories, numbers, and programme outcomes from the schools we reach.

This Women's Month, we're celebrating the incredible female coaches who create opportunities for children and youth to play, participate and learn through sport.

Our coaches are the heartbeat of our sport-for-development work.🧡

Through quality Physical Education and structured activities:

They coach.
They mentor.
They lead.

They help children develop physical and social skills, build confidence and experience the joy of being active.

Their impact reaches beyond the playing field — helping create healthier, more active, connected and empowered communities.

To our female coaches: thank you for showing up, leading and making a difference, one session at a time.👏🏾

August has been full of sport, movement and positive energy across South Africa!💪🏼

Our Community Programmes run across Gauteng, Limpopo, the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, led by local coordinators in each community.

Through weekly Physical Education sessions, learners are developing new skills, staying active and building resilience, while supporting their health and wellbeing.

A big thank you to our dedicated coaches and coordinators for creating these opportunities and keeping our communities moving! 🙌🏾

This International Youth Day, we're celebrating the future athletes, leaders, changemakers, and role models.🧡

During in Durban, KZN, about 100 learners had the opportunity to be active through mini-sports matches and activities, play together, and experience the joy of movement in a structured and fun environment.⚽️ 🏑🏉

Today's youth are tomorrow's leaders, coaches, and community builders. Our mission is to create opportunities for children to play, participate, and develop healthy habits.

We're committed to investing in their potential and helping build healthier, more active communities for the future. ✨

A special thank you to our headline partner, Disney Africa Channels our fruit and nutrition sponsor Food Lover's Market and our tennis ball donor Amazeballs for helping us make these opportunities possible.
