“The Best of Mitchell’s Plain” is a community-centred sports festival complemented by a prestigious Red Carpet Event. The event promotes friendly competition, celebrates community excellence, and recognises achievements in an inclusive, holistic manner.

🧭 CODE OF CONDUCT

All participants must act fairly, respectfully, and professionally at all times. No discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or abusive behaviour. No personal agendas or misconduct. Uphold confidentiality, honesty, and integrity. Promote fair and positive sportsmanship on and off the field.

📱 SOCIAL MEDIA RULES

To keep all digital platforms positive and respectful:

Respect everyone — no hate speech, threats, discrimination, or harassment. Keep content positive, uplifting, and supportive. No explicit, defamatory, or inappropriate posts. Criticism must be constructive and solution-focused. No political or religious debates. Do not post personal information or images without consent. Zero tolerance for bullying, trolling, or targeted attacks. Administrators may edit, hide, or remove content or block users who violate these rules.

📢 OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION PROTOCOLS

All communication concerning The Best of Mitchell's Plain must:
Be directed to "The Best of Mitchell's Plain LOC" not via social media. Follow the official procedures set out in the The Best of Mitchell's Plain LOC & Regulations. Unauthorised or bypassed communication channels will not be recognised and may lead to disciplinary action. These protocols ensure professional governance and structured communication.

📸 PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY NOTICE

By attending any The Best of Mitchell's Plain event at JP Rocklands MFMC, attendees consent to being photographed or filmed. Images may be used for promotional and documentation purposes across media and online platforms. If participants or attendees do not wish to appear in photos or videos, they must:

Inform the photographer or organisers on the day and
Notify their club/team/organisation representative, who will contact The Best of Mitchell's Plain LOC with a recent photo for identification. All information will be handled confidentially. Unauthorised use of The Best of Mitchell’s Plain
media or branding is strictly prohibited. Attendance implies consent to release and indemnify the The Best of Mitchell's Plain LOC and MFMC from claims relating to lawful media use.

🏟 FACILITY RULES & REGULATIONS

1️⃣ Facility Access & Usage

Only registered/approved participants and accredited personnel may use participate facility area. Spectators must remain in designated areas. Standard event hours: 08:00–19:00
(unless otherwise communicated). Gate access, vendor areas, and control points are managed by
The Best of Mitchell's Plain LOC & MFMC

2️⃣ Behaviour & Conduct

Show respect to all staff, officials, volunteers, players, and spectators. No illegal substances, weapons, or dangerous objects. Zero tolerance for violence, fighting, intimidation, or vandalism. Participants must wear appropriate sports attire. The Best of Mitchell's Plain LOC is not responsible for lost,
damaged, or stolen property.

3️⃣ Facility Care, Maintenance & Safety

Keep the venue clean use bins provided. Report any damage immediately. Follow all safety signs and instructions from staff or security.

4️⃣ Sports & Competition Regulations

All games follow official governing-body rules. Formats may be adapted by the The Best of Mitchell's Plain LOC if required for fairness, safety or for variation recreation purposes. Decisions of match officials and event organisers are final.

5️⃣ Health & Safety

Participants and attendees must ensure they are medically fit to participate or attend the festival "The Best of Mitchell's Plain. Anyone unwell or posing a risk should not attend. First-aid support is available, but each club/team/organisation is responsible for its own medical needs and insurance.

6️⃣ Fixtures, Events & Competitions

All festival fixtures, sessions and competitions will be via official procedures. Spectators may not enter fields or restricted zones. Clubs/teams/organisations are responsible for the conduct of their players, staff, and supporters.

7️⃣ Security & Law Enforcement

Neighbourhood Watch and appointed security will support safety and access control. LOC and MFMC will coordinate with SAPS, emergency services, and municipal partners as required.

8️⃣ Conflict, Complaints & Discipline

Complaints must first go through the relevant club/team representative. Unresolved matters may be escalated via The Best of Mitchell's Plain LOC and MFMC procedures. Violent or abusive behaviour may result in immediate removal and possible legal action. Breaches may lead to warnings, suspension, bans, fines, or removal from the event.

9️⃣ Policy Updates

The Best of Mitchell's Plain LOC reserve the right to update these rules as needed for safety, legal, or operational reasons. Updates will be issued through official communication channels.
