Helderberg Trails

beginners – about 2km - 70m ascent
Blue loop for beginners/intermediate riders/runners – about 4 km with 150m ascent
Red loop for more advanced riders/runners – about 12km 500m ascent
Black loop for experienced riders/runners only – about 15km with 700m ascent. There are a few combinations of the black loop, and the fun part is to seek the best loop for yourself or to combine a few. Helderberg Trails have some epic Enduro lines as well as world-class Downhill Tracks. Since we aim to help riders improve and reach their riding goals through the use of our trails, we are constantly building new lines and adding new features. Look out for a pump track and other exciting features in the new year. Our trails have been designed and built by Jan Van Schalkwyk (Builder of Steilte and Hermanus MTB trails) and partner Andrew Neethling - a Professional Mountain Biker who honed his skills on this very mountain. There is plenty of parking, and braai facilities, a petting zoo for the kids, a kiosk serving coffees, breakfast, cakes, cold drinks, fresh produce, and other mouthwatering eats. Fees: All permits should be purchased at the Kiosk at Helderplaas or The Hanger Bike Co.
