We had the most fun teaching our young anglers the ways of fishing, sharing a few tips, tricks and plenty of laughs along the way! 🎣😄

Viz Report!

False Bay is not looking good and with the SE and Southerly winds forecast for the weekend I don’t see it improving much.

A-frame and surrounds can’t be more than 3 to 4 meters and bitterly cold.

SE is going to become Southerly by lunchtime and strengthening from 7 to 10 knots in the morning to about 20 knots in the afternoon.

Sunday is SE to SSE all day at about 20 to 25 knots and I can’t see that improving the viz much.

Viz in False Bay is unlikely to be any good on Saturday as the brown yucky water is creeping cross from Muizenberg and the SE chop is making it very messy.
Sunday is likely to be similar.

I haven’t looked at the Atlantic side but with 30 plus knots of SE on both days there may be a few spots with cleanish, but very cold water and Sunday comes with a 2.5 meter SW swell at 13 seconds, so maybe this weekend is the time to earn some brownie points and mow the lawn.

Weekly viz forecast.

The viz in the Bay is surprisingly good considering the SE and the swell that rolled in yesterday.
Difficult to tell how clear it actually is but it is certainly diveable.

Saturday is forecast to be calm with very little wind so it should clear up nicely and Sunday is North to NNW and it should be at its clearest for diving.

Water is still chilly so bring your best wetsuit.

WEEKY VIZ REPORT!

The viz in False Bay is surprisingly good considering the SE of the last couple of days. There is a bit of a ground swell forecast for the weekend but Saturday should be a good day to dive. Rain is forecast for the afternoon so try and get in, in the morning before it gets too gloomy.

Sunday the Southerly picks up to about 20 knots and could make it choppy and unpleasant. Last Sunday I saw a few big tail being shot in Buffels, so that might be worth a look.
