First and foremost, congrats on your 55th test as coach Rassie. Outstanding!!!!

A game to two halves. It looked like we were going to tear the Scots apart in the first 20 minutes and then……the Scots did what the Scots do best, come from behind and level the scores. The first half was quick and bruising with the Scots ball retention the highlight of the half. It wasn’t surprising that the team looked a bit out of sorts. This is after all a team assembled a week before the game.

The second half was much better. Good first phase ball and better distribution down the line. Give credit where credit is due, the Scots came out firing and never gave up. The Boks just had too much fire power both on the field and the replacements. It’s was a good effort and once again history was written. A full house for the Boks against the Northern Hemisphere teams.

Morning Coach!!!

What a great start to the international season. An emphatic win against the English Roses, 45 - 21.

Was it perfect, no, but then it’s difficult to find fault in a win like that. Maybe the first two tries that England scored in the first half could have been prevented with a more organised defence? Kolbe missed a few conversions which in test rugby could be the difference between winning and losing? Hopefully Ox doesn’t have a serious hamstring injury. His run was legendary.

So many positives, the backs were moving the ball beautifully. The forwards dominated almost all phases of the game. Manie Libbok got the the team moving across the field and his tactical kicking was bang on. The stand out players for me were Damien Williemse and Cheslin Kolbe. Damien’s positional play on point, kicking out of hand accurate and excellent defence. Kolbe as always, electric and committed.
England players must be tired of him side stepping them to score.
