Love this video as one of those proud moments. Flashback Friday to when I started getting used to helming in gusts of wind, ducking under bridges, and navigating those tight canals.
A dragon boat coach is the person who leads, trains, and motivates a dragon boat team. They plan workout routines, teach proper paddling techniques, set boat seating lineups, and ensure team safety on the water. It's more than giving instructions, it's sharing a passion with discipline.

Personal Proud Moment: This was my very first official race as a new licenced helm/steer. Been seriously thrown into the deep end with this one by heading out into the larger open spaced section of the harbour. Steering into a large wake as a larger boat headed out, but I had faith in my crew and them in me. I survived my race baptism.

Adhering to calls onboard are super important and requires an attentive ear. Be it normal forward strokes, change in stroke, stopping the boat, or bracing—one move can make a difference.
