100 DAYS TO GO ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Just over 3 months until South Africa steps onto the Tag World Cup field in Coffโ€™s Harbour!

01/07/2026

Weโ€™re proud to celebrate our growing partnership with Action iT!

Action iT has stood alongside our mission for years ๐Ÿ‰ Supporting three Adopt-a-School programmes in Polokwane and previously sponsoring kit for our Test Series against Great Britain.

Action iT is now the official development partner of South African Tag Rugbyยฎ - sponsoring training kit, World Cup kit and skills development for the TagBOKS ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

Their continued belief in grassroots development and the power of Tag Rugbyยฎ to change lives means the world to us.

Thank you Action_IT for backing our players, our schools and our journey ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Thank you, South Africa.

For six weeks you shared our posts, tagged your friends, commented your support and helped us tell the story of 46 South Africans heading to the Tag World Cup in Coffs Harbour this October. We couldn't have come this far without you.

Whatever happens next with government support, you have already made a difference - by making sure our players know their country is behind them.

If you've ever wanted to help directly, our BackaBuddy campaign is open and every contribution, big or small, goes straight toward getting our teams to the World Cup.

Thank you for believing in the South African teams. We're going to Coffs Harbour, and we're taking all of you with us ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Day 42. Six weeks. We're not done, we're just pausing.

For 42 days we have shown up here with one consistent message: 46 South Africans are heading to the Tag Rugby World Cup in Coffs Harbour this October, and they need the support of their government.

We are pausing our daily posts, not because we've given up but because we've said what needed to be said. The message is out there. South Africa has heard it.

And we still believe Minister Gayton McKenzie will hear it too.

Our teams are still training. Our players are still fundraising. And our belief in this country and in the people who lead it has not wavered for a single day.

Minister Gayton Mckenzie , when you're ready, we're ready. The door is open. The jersey is waiting. And 46 South Africans would love nothing more than to board that plane to Australia knowing their Minister of Sport had their back ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

We'll see you in Coffs Harbour.

โœˆ๏ธ Day 41: Picture this.
October 2026. Coffs Harbour, Australia.
46 South Africans walk into the World Cup - proud, prepared, and ready to compete.

Someone asks: "How did you get here?"
And we get to say: "Our players believed. Our sponsors stepped up. Our communities rallied. And Minister Gayton Mckenzie showed up for South African sport when it mattered."

That is the story we want to tell. That is the ending we are still working toward, together.
Minister, there is still time to be part of it. We're saving you a seat ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ’š Day 40: Minister Gayton Mckenzie knows what it means to fight for something against the odds.

He grew up in Bloemfontein. He rebuilt his life. He has built an entire public career on the belief that sport changes lives and that people who work hard deserve a chance.

Londiwe Tshabalala grew up in Soweto and now calls Bloemfontein home - the Minister's city.

She has earned selection to South Africa's national Tag Rugbyยฎ team and is heading to the World Cup in Coffs Harbour this October. She is living proof of everything he stands for.

Minister, you've always said sport gives people a reason to keep going. Londiwe has kept going. Now Londiwe and her teammates need your support ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ“„ Day 39: An open letter to Minister Gayton Mckenzie.

Dear Minister,
For 39 days we have shown up here, not out of frustration, but out of faith. Faith in South African sport. Faith in what your office stands for. And faith that the right people, when they hear the right story, will do the right thing.

We are the Tag Rugbyยฎ Association. We run programmes in schools across the country, develop coaches in underserved communities, and this October we are sending 46 South Africans to the Tag Rugby World Cup in Coffs Harbour, Australia.

We believe you are someone who acts when it matters. We believe this is one of those moments.
South Africa, please share this. Help us reach the Minister ๐Ÿ™

With respect and pride,
The Tag Rugby Association ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ’š

Awesome things are happening in Polokwane! ๐Ÿ‰

6 learners who take part in our Action iT Adopt-a-School Programme are also part of their schoolโ€™s robotics team ๐Ÿค– The team will travel to Switzerland to represent South Africa at a Robotics for Youth Competition this July ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ™Œ

It is awesome to see young Tag players excelling both on the field and in the classroom ๐ŸŒŸ

๐ŸŒŸ Day 38: Remember Kyle?
Kyle's road to the World Cup wasn't straight. He dealt with a devastating knee injury and had every reason to walk away.
He didn't.

This October, he will stand on a World Cup field in Coffs Harbour wearing the South African jersey. That jersey was earned through setbacks, sacrifices and a refusal to quit.
Minister Gayton Mckenzie , this is the spirit your department was created to champion. We believe you'll see that, and we're excited for the day you do ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ’š
