British Police Women's Rugby

An incredible occasion to be part of as BPWRFC took on RCMN in a fixture celebrating the 400th anniversary of the French Navy.

The girls put in a tremendous performance, showing determination and resilience throughout. After a hard-fought contest, the match was heartbreakingly decided in the 84th minute, with RCMN securing a late score to take a 19-13 victory.

While the result didn’t go our way, we’re incredibly proud of the effort and character shown by every player on such a special day.

Looking back on our time volunteering at Sunshine School SA near Cape Town, we feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of something so special.

Sunshine School provides a safe and loving environment where children can learn, grow and feel supported. Spending time playing with them and helping with their learning was truly unforgettable and showed us just how powerful education and kindness can be.

This wonderful charity relies heavily on donations to continue the important work they do, so any contribution, big or small, is deeply appreciated and helps give these children a brighter future. 💛📚

A huge thank you to for producing a challenge coin for our trip to South Africa. The coin was created with one side representing rugby in South Africa and the other side with our newly designed British Police Women’s Rugby team logo on.

The coin was brought by many of the players on the tour who have used it as a memento of the days spent in Cape Town. Additionally, during our visit to the International Police Association house, we gifted a coin to add to their impressive memorabilia collection and our captain gifted one of her coins to her counterpart at , after our match.

Thank you to for providing such a well crafted coin that many of the players will remember this trip by.

Day 2 included an ungodly start at 05:15 (after an 11.5 hour flight), to climb Table Mountain! We had fantastic tour guides from who helped get us get up and down the mountain and brought a fantastic energy to the group. Once back down, we had a training session with a view in preparation for the match against and a chance to try get used to the heat.

Day 3 was the match against Boland, who showed extreme strength and skill and gave us a few things to work on in our next session. Thank you to bulard for hosting us and introducing us to our first Braai!
