Race Day at the 30th running of the Richard Griessen Repairs Klein Karoo Kampioenskappe hosted by Swd Oval - Redrock Raceway Oudtshoorn.

Nigel and team won't be participating today, but would like to wish every competitor, official, sponsor, and supporter the very best for one of the biggest events on the dirt oval calendar annually.

Following the conclusion of Mega Oval Raceway (Worcester)'s 2025/2026 season we are extremely proud to announce that Nigel James Thorpe will be crowned the Club Champion of the 1660 Modifieds class.

On behalf of Nigel and the entire team, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of you our followers, supporters and all the companies affiliated to 67 Racing - Forever Young.

We are extremely thankful and blessed to have had you all with us throughout this season, and hope that all of you will be with us during the new season as well.

Official trophy handover will be at Mega Oval's prize giving on the 25th of July.

With the final race of Mega Oval Raceway (Worcester) 2025/2026 season taking place in less than 24hrs, we are proud to announce that Nigel achieved 3rd place in this season's Boland Regional Championship for the 1660s class.

Congratulations to ZA1/W61 Francois Engelbrecht on claiming the No1 title again this season as well as congrats to WO333 Anre Thiart for coming in 2nd place.

The final round of Mega Oval Raceway (Worcester) 2025/2026 season is happening this coming Saturday and Nigel 's hunt for the 1660 class championship is still on.

Come support not only Nigel and the team, but the club along with every other competitor participating as well.

The last few weeks have been so hectic, we have missed out on posting the race reports following the events, so herewith a quick review...

*21 March - Rd7 of Mega Oval Club championship: 3rd overall out of 9 class entries on the day.

*4 April - Snoek & Patat event at Weskus Oval: DNF due to a blown head gasket during Heat 2.

*25 April - National Qualifier at Mega Oval / Rd 8 of Club Championship: 4th overall out of 12 class entries on the day.

*16 May - Boland Regionals Finals / Rd9 of Mega Oval Club championship: 5th overall out of 12 class entries on the day.

It has been a tough time out for Nigel and team, but we continue to work hard on improving and racing towards the best possible results for you our supporters as well as our sponsors.
