Official Statement - Oliver Sudden Pool Club 🎱🌸 We would like to clarify our position regarding today's events at the Ultimate Centre Tournament.
Our concern has never been with the junior players who were selected to fill another team. We fully support the development and inclusion of juniors, and we hold no ill feelings towards any of them.
Our concern is with the tournament management. After our scheduled opponents were unable to field a full team, the tournament coordinator replaced them with an entirely new squad from a team we had already defeated. We disagreed with this decision, as we believe it compromised the fairness and integrity of the competition.
When we questioned this decision, we were informed that the coordinator "makes the rules" and that the matter was final. As a result, we made the difficult decision to withdraw both teams from the tournament. We believe tournaments should be governed by clear, consistent and ethical rules that apply equally to every team.
This has never been about excluding juniors. It is about protecting the integrity of the sport and ensuring fair competition for all clubs.
