I am so different to the person I was 2 years ago, and up until now my experience in life has been that hard times have birthed beautiful things. God swapped ashes for beauty 🕊️
But this season, wondering where, when, how the beauty might appear.
It been hard to accept the girl that emerged from the fire back then 🔥 is not someone I fully know & whilst sometimes I feel like the truest version of myself is appearing, I mourn the girl I was before.
I guess, I know deep down I’m just still healing & healing is not linear, although I wish it was.
I wish 2 years later I’d have bounced back & received full restoration but I think I might have to take the long way round on this one.
God is showing me that He loves me completely, just as I am. He has more grace than I can even comprehend and I don’t need to be anything other than authentic with Him.
