Weiner Shield – 2nd & 3rd Division Competition
The West Peninsula Darts Association came alive on 24 August 2026 as teams battled it out at Jan Burger Sports Complex for the prestigious Weiner Shield – 2nd & 3rd Division competition.
With determination, teamwork and plenty of competitive spirit on display, every leg counted as players fought to give their teams the edge. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as Dockside and Jokers went head-to-head, showcasing the skill and passion that makes league darts such a special part of the WPDA community.
🏆 CHAMPIONS – DOCKSIDE
Dockside delivered a strong performance when it mattered most, securing the Weiner Shield and earning their place as the champions of the 2nd & 3rd Division competition.
🥈 RUNNERS-UP – JOKERS
Jokers put up a determined fight throughout the competition and finished as worthy runners-up after a hard-fought battle.
More than just a competition, the Weiner Shield represents team spirit, commitment, friendship and the love of the game. Congratulations to both teams for an entertaining and memorable day of darts.

🏆 ALEX FROWDE 1ST & PREMIER DIVISION DARTS COMPETITION🎯
What an incredible night of darts at the Jan Burger Sports Complex on 17 August 2026!
The Alex Frowde 1st & Premier Division tournament brought together top-level players for a day filled with precision, determination, competitive spirit and some fantastic darts. Every leg was fought for, with players giving their all as they battled their way towards the title.

A fantastic performance from Frans, who showed composure, consistency and championship quality throughout the competition to claim the title.

WPDA Weiner Shield 1st & Premier Division
Dockside Celebrate a Double-Team Success
The WPDA Weiner Shield 1st & Premier Division brought together some of the Peninsula’s finest darts players for an exciting day of competition at Jan Burger Sports Complex on 24 August 2026.
🏆 WINNERS – DOCKSIDE
Dockside produced a strong performance to claim the title, with their four-player team showing consistency, determination and excellent teamwork throughout the competition.
🥈 RUNNERS-UP – DOCKSIDE
The runners-up also represented Dockside, making it a particularly memorable result for the club as two Dockside teams battled their way to the top of the competition.
With four players representing each side, the match showcased the depth of talent within Dockside and highlighted the competitive spirit that makes WPDA league darts so exciting.
Congratulations to both Dockside teams on an outstanding achievement, and well done to all the players who competed in the Weiner Shield 1st & Premier Division.

The Alex Frowde 2nd & 3rd Division Singles was played on 17 August 2026 at Jan Burger Sports Complex, bringing together talented players for a competitive day of darts.

Ladies Doubles Competition
Monday, 27 June 2026 | Jan Burger Sports Complex
The West Peninsula Darts Association's Ladies Doubles Competition once again showcased the exceptional standard of women's darts, with partnerships built on teamwork, precision, and determination. Players from across the association produced a day filled with competitive matches, outstanding finishing, and true sportsmanship, making it another memorable chapter in the WPDA calendar.
Congratulations to Diane Claassen (Dockside DC) & Tersia Venter (Dockside DC), who claimed the Ladies Doubles title with a series of confident performances. Their consistency under pressure, clinical finishing, and excellent teamwork saw them deservedly crowned 2026 Ladies Doubles Champions.
A special congratulations also goes to Chandralu Schutte (DG's DC) & Beryl Beukes (Ravensmead DC), who fought their way to the final with grit and determination. Their impressive performances throughout the competition earned them a well-deserved Runners-up finish and demonstrated the depth of talent within WPDA ladies' darts.
The WPDA extends its sincere thanks to every player, official, scorer, volunteer, and supporter who contributed to another successful event. Your dedication continues to strengthen and grow the game throughout the association.

West Peninsula Darts Association – DSA 2026 Nationals
The countdown is almost over, and the stage is set for one of the biggest events on the South African darts calendar. From 11–18 July 2026, the West Peninsula Darts Association (WPDA) proudly sends its finest ladies and gentlemen to represent the association at the DSA National Championships at the Bellville Velodrome, Cape Town.
Representing clubs from across WPDA—including Atlantic Warriors, Boss, CTN, DG's, Dockside, Jokers, Opex, Rams, RDC, Sanddrift, Travellers and Titans—our players have earned the privilege of wearing the WPDA colours through dedication, hard work and outstanding performances throughout the season.

The A-Division Doubles competitions took place at the Jan Burger Sports Complex, bringing together top talent across the leagues for an intense showcase of precision and nerve.
Here is how the titles shook out across the Premier and First Leagues:
Premier League
Played on 6 June 2026
The Premier League division delivered high-caliber darts, with Dockside DC ultimately walking away with the championship silverware.

Runners-up: Johan Snyman & Clive Carollisen (Rams DC)
1st League
Played on 29 June 2026
The First League action wrapped up at the end of the month, securing a spectacular division double for the Dockside club.

Runners-up: Johan Scheepers & Garth Walsh (Cape Town Darts)
Club Performance Note: It was a massive tournament for Dockside DC, whose pairings claimed the gold in both the Premier and First League divisions.
