Dit is met groot hartseer dat ons afskeid neem van ’n besonderse lid van ons The Stage-familie.

Pieter van Helslandt was soveel meer as net ’n dosent. Hy was ’n hoeksteen van The Stage, ’n mentor vir baie, ’n bron van ondersteuning, ’n inspirasie agter die klawers, ’n gewaardeerde kollega en ’n onwrikbare vriend.

Pieter, jou invloed kan nie in woorde, tempo of tyd gemeet word nie. Deur jou passie, toewyding en omgee het jy ’n blywende verskil gemaak in die lewens van ontelbare jong kunstenaars. Jou nalatenskap leef voort in die studente wat jy gevorm het, die kollegas saam met wie jy gewerk het en die vriende wat deur jou teenwoordigheid verryk is.

Hoewel die klawers stil geword het, leef die note voort – in die gange van The Stage, in die herinneringe wat ons koester en in die harte van almal wat die voorreg gehad het om jou te ken.
