Look what has finally arrived! Our extremely 'swanky' Striders arch!! It has all the looks, all the feels and definitely the smartest looking arch in town!

We were able to use it for the first time at our Kearsney time trial tonight.

Well done to our Kearsney Striders who ran in the SAPS Striders 10km & 21km Heritage Challenge.

A very special mention to our Junior (ladies) Julia Cameron for coming 1st in her very first 21km with a time of 2:06:38 and Belinda Padbury Open (ladies) for coming 1st in her 10km (walk) with a time of 1:00:22.

Well done to Chuma Mavuso who competed at SA Cross Country champs in Pretoria this morning. Chuma placed a very creditable 71st out of 139 runners. We are proud of you!🤩

In Loving Memory of Liz Chelin.

Kearsney Striders Athletics Club remembers Liz Chelin — an amazing runner, a courageous fighter and a truly inspirational woman.

Liz faced her battle with cancer with the same strength, determination and bravery that she brought to every kilometre she ran. Those fortunate enough to run alongside her will remember the laughter, friendship, encouragement and unforgettable spirit she shared.

Her final finish line has been reached, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and in every runner who keeps putting one foot in front of the other.

Deepest condolences to JP & family, as well as her Hillcrest Villagers “family”.

A great and enjoyable run was had by all at the 5km / 10km Hollywood Bets race yesterday. Well done to all our Striders that took part.

Congrats to our Junior Striders Boy's team that placed 2nd in the Mixed League on Thursday night. All 4 boys placed in the top 20.

Well done to our junior male - Brendon Dodson for placing 3rd in the La Lucia Mall Half Marathon with a time of 1:37:00.

An excellent performance.

Huge congratulations to our Junior Men's runner, Brendon Dobson on his great performance at the Savages Challenge 2026 on Sunday. Brendon made podium for his 21.1km with an amazing time of 01:35:54.

Huge congratulations to our very own junior, Chuma Mavuso for being selected for the KZN Cross Country Provisional A Team. He will take part in the National Cross Country Championships in Pretoria on 5 September 2026.
