As we start planning for an even bigger and better Gariep Open Water 2027, we're reflecting on the amazing weekend that brought swimmers from across the country together at the beautiful Gariep Dam.

The races, the friendships, the sunsets, and the memories made both in and out of the water remind us why this event is so special.

What a memorable USSA for Kovsie Aquatics!

Our ladies brought the heat, finishing 3rd overall, while the men powered through to secure 7th. Together, we placed an incredible 5th overall — a true team effort and something to be proud of.

A big thank you to Kovsie Sport, USSA Swimming, and Marco for putting together such an amazing event. Here’s to the hard work, the team spirit, and the moments that made it all worth it. 💙
