The competition is getting hotter, the scores are tightening, and the excitement is building as we head into the FINAL DAY this Wednesday!
With three days of fantastic bowls behind us, it really is now a race to the podium! 🥇🥈🥉 Every bowl will count, every point could make the difference, and there is still everything to play for!
A massive thank you to all our players and supporters who have made this Spring Festival such a wonderful event. The greens have been alive, the atmosphere has been incredible and the camaraderie has been exactly what lawn bowls is all about.

Our facilities include three greens, safe parking, gate access, neat clubhouse, rest rooms, braai facilities and a well stocked bar. Bowls or lawn bowls is a sport in which the objective is to roll biased balls so that they stop close to a smaller ball called a "jack" or "kitty". It is normally played outdoors (although there are many indoor venues) and the outdoor surface is natural grass.

What an incredibly special moment for our club as six of our own Old Oak bowlers have been selected to represent Western Province against Boland on 6 December 2026.

This is so much more than a selection — it is a wonderful reflection of the talent, commitment, perseverance and passion that these bowlers bring to the greens every time they play.
Behind every selection are early mornings, hours of practice, tough games, countless bowls, and the determination to keep improving. To see that hard work rewarded with a place on the provincial stage is something our entire Old Oak family can be incredibly proud of.
Louis, Nicky, Wally, Marianna, Cheryl and Elsa — congratulations! You have earned this opportunity, and we are absolutely thrilled to see you representing both Western Province and our beloved Old Oak.

Another fantastic afternoon on the greens at Old Oak Bowling Club, with great bowls, great competition and plenty of good vibes all round. The Spring Festival is certainly living up to its name — the greens are looking beautiful and the atmosphere is even better!
A massive thank you to everyone who joined us today and helped make another day of our festival such a success. We love seeing the greens buzzing with players and friends enjoying the game we all love.

We are absolutely delighted to congratulate Wally Brown on retaining his place in the Western Province Men’s Veteran Inter District team for 2027! 👏🏆
Being selected is an achievement. Retaining your place among the best veteran players in the province is something else entirely. It speaks volumes about Wally’s consistency, dedication, competitive spirit and the quality of bowls he continues to deliver.
Wally has been a fantastic ambassador for Old Oak, and we couldn’t be prouder to see him representing Western Province once again.

💗💜 WHAT A ‘P’ARTY! 💜💗
What an absolute P-TASTIC day at Old Oak Bowling Club! 🎀
A huge THANK YOU to all the incredible ladies who joined us for our Ladies Day Bowls. With a fantastic 38 teams taking to the greens, the club was absolutely buzzing!
The brief was simple: dress up in anything starting with “P” — and you ladies did NOT disappoint!
We had pumpkins, pilots, pensioners, pirates, pandas, prisoners and so much more, with pink and purple taking over Old Oak in spectacular fashion with the best dressed going to the Pumpkins, the Pandas and the Pilots!
It was an absolute treat to see so many women embracing the fun, getting creative and bringing such wonderful energy to the day. From the fabulous outfits to the laughter, bowling, food, drinks and good old-fashioned P-arty pandemonium, it was a day to remember!
