The wind has certainly decided to join us for Day 2 of the Umhlali Ladies Classic — but it hasn’t unsettled the ladies on the greens!

With tricky, gusty conditions adding another challenge to the competition, we’ve seen plenty of steady hands, measured bowls and impressive play throughout the day.

The focus is on, the competition is building, and judging by the smiles, there’s still plenty of fun being had along the way. ☀️🌿

What a way to welcome the change of season! ☀️🌿

Day 1 of the **Umhlali Ladies Classic** is underway, and after the cooler winter weather, the North Coast has delivered beautiful blue skies, sunshine and a hint that spring is just around the corner.

But while the weather may be warming up, the competition on the greens is already **red hot!** 🔥🎳

The ladies certainly aren’t holding anything back, with an incredible turnout and some fantastic bowls being played across the greens at Umhlali Country Club.

A brilliant start to the Classic — and there’s plenty more to come!

What a fantastic day at Umhlali! 💙

Yesterday we hosted the Umhlali Country Club Ladies Charity Golf Day — a wonderful celebration of golf, friendship, generosity and the incredible spirit of our ladies golfing community.

There was plenty of fun out on the course, an amazing ocean-inspired theme, some brilliant outfits and a clubhouse full of laughter as everyone came together for the prize-giving and celebrations. 🧜‍♀️⚓️🌊

🏆 Congratulations to our winning fourball — Elmarie Brett, Anna Marie Barnes, Liz Steyn and Glenda Hickman — who took the honours with an outstanding 89 points!

A huge thank you to every player, sponsor, supporter and member of the team who helped make the day possible. Charity days like this remind us that golf is about so much more than the scorecard — it’s about friendship, community and coming together to make a difference.

Thankfully, the snow is AI-generated — because we’re much happier with our beautiful KZN sunshine! ☀️

Congratulations to Jimmy Fulton and Frank McKenna, winners of the Umhlali Country Club Memorial Day held this past Saturday.

Memorial Day is always one of the most meaningful events on our golfing calendar, bringing members together to honour those who have gone before us while celebrating the friendships and spirit that make Umhlali Country Club so special.

⛳️ Honouring Memories, Celebrating Friendship | Memorial Golf Day 💚

Today, the fairways of Umhlali Country Club played host to our 01 August Memorial Golf Day – a special occasion where members came together to honour those who are no longer with us, while celebrating the friendships, camaraderie and love of the game they helped build.

From the first tee to the final putt, the course was filled with great golf, warm conversations and plenty of smiles. It was a fitting reminder that while scores may be forgotten, the memories we create and the people we share them with leave a lasting legacy.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and made the day so meaningful. Your support continues to make Umhlali Country Club a place where tradition, community and sport come together.

🧹🧙‍♀️ Broomsticks, Bowls & Brilliant Company at Umhlali Country Club! 🧙‍♂️🟢

Today our Bowls Section hosted the ever-popular Broomstick Pilots vs Rollers tournament – one of the most anticipated and entertaining days on the bowls calendar!

With players embracing the tradition by dressing up as witches, the greens were filled with laughter, colourful costumes, friendly rivalry and, of course, some excellent bowls. From broomsticks to brilliant shots, it was a wonderful celebration of the fun and camaraderie that makes our bowls community so special.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, dressed up, and helped make the day such a memorable success. Congratulations to all our players for embracing the spirit of the event!
