Orlando Pirates Football Club have confirmed that a deal has been finalised with Bahraini Premier League outfit Alkhaldiya Sports Club, paving the way for Patrick Maswanganyi's move to the Gulf side.

💔 A Difficult Chapter for a True Fighter

It's never easy to watch a warrior go down. Our own Khuliso Mudau suffered an Achilles rupture... the kind of injury that stops even the toughest players in their tracks. Achilles ruptures typically require a minimum recovery period of six months, though some players have needed up to a year before returning to full fitness.

It's a cruel reminder of how fragile even the strongest careers can be. One moment you're flying down the right flank for Sundowns and Bafana Bafana, the next you're facing months of surgery, rehab, and uncertainty.

And it comes at a painful time. Khuliso has long been dreaming of a move to Europe, Premier League side Burnley were reportedly "highly likely" to sign him, with interest also linked to AS Monaco at one point. That's the kind of overseas chapter many of us hoped we'd see him write next.

So does this mean that dream is over❓️ Does this mean the ambitions he's carried since he first pulled on a Sundowns jersey are now just memories❓️

I don't believe that for a second.

Yes, the road back will be long, and yes, this kind of injury can make suitors abroad hesitate in the short term. History is full of players who returned from Achilles ruptures to earn the move they'd always dreamed of. A dream delayed is not a dream denied. If anything, this recovery could be the very thing that proves his resilience to any club watching from afar.

Khuliso has given us his heart on that pitch for several seasons. Now it's our turn to give him ours...patience, support, and unwavering belief that this setback is not his final story.

Right back seems to be a genuine challenge for the Big 3 right now.

Sundowns just lost Mudau to a serious injury that will keep him out for the entire season. Orlando Pirates just released Deano Van Rooyen, leaving them short at the position. And Kaizer Chiefs still haven't had a player truly cement the right back spot as their own.

⛽️How a Friend's Favour Took Scara Ngobese to AmaZulu

Thabiso "Skapie" Malatsi once shared a story, sitting down with Junior Khanye on his podcast, about how Emmanuel "Scara" Ngobese came to sign for Zulu Royals (AmaZulu FC).

Skapie recalled travelling to visit his former Kaizer Chiefs teammate, Patrick "Ace" Mbuthu, who was by then playing for Manning Rangers. He made the trip with the late Lucky Maselesele. When they arrived, Ace told them something surprising... their friend Scara known to many as "Black Jesus" was on trial at Manning Rangers, training under coach Steve Komphela.

Curious, they asked to see him, and a young man was sent to fetch Scara. They then stepped out to talk things over as they explore Durban.

Skapie asked how the trial was going, and whether Komphela who had been with them
in the youth structures was likely to sign him. Scara said things looked promising.

That's when Skapie made his move. He told Scara he was now at AmaZulu, and asked if he could call the club's owner, Mr. Bhikisha, to recommend him. Scara agreed. Skapie phoned Mr. Bhikisha to vouch for his friend, insisting that Scara "uyashisa" and didn't deserve to be sitting around as a mere trialist. Mr. Bhikisha then asked to speak to Scara directly.

Before anything else happened, Skapie turned to Ace Mbuthu with one condition...make sure Komphela never finds out that he was the one who pulled Scara away to AmaZulu. They agreed. Scara packed his bags and left with Skapie that same day.

AmaZulu signed him but he couldn't feature in his first three matches because of a clearance dispute between Manning Rangers and AmaZulu over his registration.

That single move, born out of a chance visit and a friend looking out for a friend, would eventually set in motion a much bigger journey...Scara's return to where his career began, Kaizer Chiefs, where he became a fan favourite and his life changed for the better.

Rest in peace, Emmanuel "Scara" Ngobese. And thank you, Thabiso "Skapie" Malatsi, for being a true friend with a good heart.
