It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Sani Umar Bebeji, the Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Dr. Bebeji was a respected academic and a former President of the Ahmadu Bello University Students' Representative Council (ABUSRC), serving during the 2009/2010 academic session. His sudden passing, which occurred just a few hours ago, has left the ABU community and many others in deep shock. It is particularly heartbreaking that he was active on his Facebook story only about an hour before the sad news emerged.

His dedication to the university, his students, and the legal profession will always be remembered.

We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and comforts his family, friends, colleagues, students, and the entire ABU community during this difficult time.
