Cutting in is a myth
Some people insist you can “cut in” with your paint brush.
They are actually all lying, every experienced painter in the world is lying.

Our roofer says the job is complete and this part of the roof doesn’t need shingles due to the pitch? I am not a fan of how this looks but the roofer is saying this is a complete job and just how’s its done. I have never seen this in my life on any home. Is his info accurate?

Neighbor wired this on my side of a shared fence. Should I be concerned about fire or code violations?
Essentially the title - my neighbor hired someone to wire this on my side of a shared fence. All outdoor, maybe 15-20 of these in series. I’m guessing their side is lights at each receptacle but cannot confirm.
I know code varies by location, but this seems like a fire hazard to me with no conduit and wire stapled into a wood fence. Can anyone confirm/deny whether this warrants a city safety inspection?

My eyes cannot unsee these tile cuts done by a professional. Should I fight to have it redone? Or is this the best spacing option given the niche placement? I was also wondering if a quarter round trim piece could be a good solution to mask the corners and top edge?
