I had planned for everything that could happen, and bouncing on the water was the worst-case scenario. Well, it could have been worse; it can really throw you off course, and in this situation, it wasn't the best option.
Why did I bounce? Well, I think I was too focused on the speed I needed to land safely, a bit impatient. I started accelerating too early and too fast, and let myself get carried away on the descent with my destination as my only focus. I was surprised by the Loire River, which I saw at the last moment. At that point, I knew I would end up in the water; my only concern was avoiding the slightly hard obstacle in front of me
