Reči imaju težinu. Govor mržnje nije samo komentar. Reči mogu da povrede, podele i ostave stvarne posledice.
Ovom porukom, Liberta Spahiu diže glas protiv govora mržnje i podseća nas da je važno kako komuniciramo, i onlajn i oflajn.
Birajmo poštovanje, a ne mržnju. 🧡

Words have weight. Hate speech is not just a comment. Words can hurt, divide, and have real consequences.
Through this message, Liberta Spahiu raises her voice against hate speech and reminds us that how we communicate, online and offline, matters.
Let’s choose respect, not hate. 🧡

Youth is… a lot of things. Being silent isn’t one of them.
It’s the courage to imagine something different.
The voice that starts a conversation.
The idea that turns into action.
The choice to listen, connect and create together.
Because youth isn’t only about what comes next. It’s about what young people are already shaping, changing and building across our region today. 🧡

UN Peacebuilding
What starts as a room full of people who have just met can quickly become something much bigger: new connections, shared ideas, honest conversations, and the beginning of future cooperation.
That is also what Youth Peacebuilding looks like in practice, creating space for young people to connect across the region, listen to different perspectives, build trust, and turn conversations into action.
Sometimes, regional cooperation starts with something as simple as passing the mic. 🎤

DIFFERENT REALITIES. COMMON VISION.
This International , our Regional Youth Peacebuilding Fellows are meeting in with a message that reflects the 2026 global theme: young people's realities may differ, but their aspirations for dignity, opportunity, meaningful participation and a peaceful future connect them.
Across the region, the Fellows are working on three priorities they identified together: employment and future skills; regional cooperation through cultural exchange; and mental health and well-being.
Today they reviewed progress, aligned messages, refined next steps and recorded youth-led campaign content. They also visited landmarks across Prizren and learned more about the city’s history and its diverse communities.
Their work is a reminder that youth participation is not symbolic. It produces campaigns, partnerships and solutions that continue beyond 12 August.

FROM IDEAS TO ACTION.
Day 2 of the Regional Youth Peacebuilding Bootcamp put the Fellows' work at the centre.
They shared progress across three regional campaigns shaped around priorities young women and men identified together: employment and future skills; regional cooperation through cultural exchange; and mental health and well-being.
The programme then moved beyond the meeting room. Through immersive technology, conversations with young entrepreneurs and a closer look at youth mobility opportunities, the Fellows explored how innovation and access can open new pathways for youth.
The day closed in Prizren with the International Documentary and Short Film Festival- a reminder that film and culture can create space for stories, dialogue and connection across the region.
Different activities, one direction: youth-led ideas becoming practical regional advocacy.

This International Youth Day, we’re spotlighting the voices of young adults across Eastern Europe and Central Asia. We asked for their reactions to UNFPA’s recent Demographic Futures Survey – because when we’re talking about the future of our region, youth voices belong at the centre of the conversation.
Check out more findings from the survey at the link in bio and share your thoughts in the comments.
