We're still learning every day.
But one thing we've always believed β
boxing is a thinking sport.
Ring IQ can't be bought.
Alonzo is 15.
He's still building his.
We're still teaching it.
We'll keep showing up
every single day
and trust the process. ππΌπΈπ₯πΊ

A Samoan family raising disciplined young champions through faith, boxing & hard work.
People think boxing conditioning
is just running and skipping.
It's not.
Rope climbs.
Sled push.
Explosive power work.
Functional strength.
Trained deliberately.
Trained consistently.
Alonzo and Mercedez
aren't just getting fitter.
They're building a body
that can sustain high performance
under pressure.
That's the difference between
training to look fit
and training to perform.
One gets you likes.
The other gets you results.
We train for results. πΌπΈπ₯πΊ

Today is Mercedez's 14th birthday.
Thank you God. First. Always.
We asked her this morning β
what do you want to do today?
She said train.
Just train.
Mercedez celebrated hers
with sweat and discipline.
She understands something
that takes most people years to learn.
The dream doesn't pause
for birthdays.
For sleep.
For comfort.
For convenience.
If you want something badly enough β
you sacrifice for it.
Even on the days
the world says you don't have to.
Happy 14th Birthday Mercedez.
We are so proud of you.
Not just today.
Every single day. πππΊπΌπΈπ₯

Shadow boxing is where boxing begins.
Before the pads.
Before the bag.
Before any opponent.
It's just you.
Pariz and Samson are 9 and 10.
No opponent.
No one telling them what to do.
That internal discipline β
the ability to work hard
when nobody is forcing you β
That's the greatest gift
sport can give a child.
And it starts here.
In the shadow.
Before anyone is watching. πΌπΈπ₯πΊ

Some people ask us β
don't you ever take a break?
We rest on Sabbath.
We give that day completely to God.
But every other day?
4:30am.
Road on.
No negotiation.
Here's what we've learned
after years of doing this β
The hardest part is never the run.
It's the moment between
the alarm going off
and your feet hitting the floor.
Every single morning.
That's where discipline lives.
That's where champions are made.
Not in the gym.
Not on the mat.
Not in the ring.
Before anyone is watching.
When you choose to get up anyway.
Something is building in this family.
Quietly.
Consistently.
Every single morning.
Watch this space. πππΌπΈπ₯πΊ

Yesterday β wrestling trials.
This week β double sessions.
4:30am mornings.
Two disciplines.
Every single day.
Today we stop.
Not because we're tired.
But because rest is part of the design.
God didn't build us to go forever.
He built us to work hard
and to rest intentionally.
In a world that glorifies
the hustle every single day β
we choose to honour the Sabbath.
Every week.
Without compromise.
Rest isn't weakness.
Rest is wisdom.
See you Monday. ππΊπΌπΈ

Today was a first for our family.
Alonzo and Mercedez
stepped onto the wrestling mat
for their very first official trial
with the Samoa Wrestling Federation.
Boxing was their whole lives.
Wrestling is newer.
The mat is different.
The rules are different.
The challenge is different.
But they walked in anyway.
Competed anyway.
Gave everything anyway.
That's what we try to teach.
It's not about being the best
on the first day.
It's about being brave enough
to show up on the first day.
To every young athlete out there
thinking about trying something new β
The first day is always the hardest.
Show up anyway.
We're proud of both of them.
Not for what they achieved today.
But for who they were today. π€ΌπΌπΈπ₯πΊ

4:30am alarm to get up is tuff for any kid.
Saturday morning.
Wrestling trials today.
They set their own alarms.
They got themselves up.
They showed up.
That's the moment every parent
quietly works toward.
When the discipline
stops being yours
and becomes theirs.
We don't know what will happen
at trials today.
But we already know
the most important thing.
They chose to prepare.
On their own.
Before the sun came up.
Whatever happens today β
that character goes with them.
Into the trials.
Into life.
Forever. ππΌπΈπ€ΌπΊ

Alonzo and Mercedez.
Two sessions today.
This was the first one.
We often get asked β
should young boxers lift weights?
Our answer is yes.
Done correctly.
Done consistently.
Done with purpose.
Strength training doesn't slow a boxer down.
It makes everything they already know
more effective.
Build the body.
Then apply the skill.
That's the order.
That's always been the order. πΌπΈπ₯πΊ

One of most important thing
we can develop in a young child
is the discipline to keep showing up.
Everything else grows from that.
Samson is still growing.
And we couldn't be more grateful
for who he's becoming. πΌπΈπ₯πΊ
