UPDATE: SISSA GAMES South Santo
Today, the final day of the volleyball for the SISSA Games, involved cross matches for junior and senior boys and girls indoor volleyball matches. And also third place finals and the grand finals for both categories of boys and girls.
Stanley Toa was impressed with the potential of the volleyball players in South Santo, especially from schools like Tata Presbyterian and Molivalevu Junior Secondary School (Tasmalum). These two schools are from different area councils β one from South Santo Area 1, the other from South Santo Area 2.
Something of note for Stanley was the standard of the junior girls playing indoor and beach volleyball this week, which has been very good, definitely equal to the level of girls from the two main towns - Port Vila and Luganville.

Indoor volleyball matches kicked off on Tuesday at the Tata school games venue. Stanley officiated the volleyball matches with the help of a few school teachers, with Beach volleyball games due to get underway on Wednesday.
The venues looked great with over 1000 students, from 17 schools, and officials participating.
There were a lot of volleyball matches for both junior and senior boys and girls, with 2 indoor courts also to be used.
DAY 2 β WED 8 July
Stanley had a full day officiating beach volleyball matches on Wednesday, with the senior boys Pool A and Pool B teams competing.
For Stanley, it's a big 2 days of competition still to go, both officiating himself and supporting local officials in the volleyball.
But it's always a great week for when supporting regional sports competitions and promoting volleyball.
