Such gorgeous old photographs! These offer a glimpse into our Maggie’s heritage from the days when the Scottish Herring industry was booming. I have a particular love for the Herrring Lassies who are seen here gutting and salting the fish. They would often sing songs to occupy themselves whilst they tackled their repetitive and hardy task.
We’ve been quiet on here recently. Because of the ongoing pandemic we have largely been unable to pursue with our restoration but there is hope on the horizon and we can’t wait to get back at it!
Here’s to an amazing summer!! 🌞💪
Lots of love,
