HAPPY CHESS AND A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP FOR THE COMMUNITY
Happy Chess would not have been able to expand its impact without the strong support of its corporate partners. Throughout the project’s different seasons, The Grand Ho Tram and KingViet Education have continuously stood alongside the Vietnam Chess Federation. From providing chess sets and uniforms to supporting tournament facilities and equipment, this partnership has helped create a comprehensive environment for children to learn and grow, bringing both knowledge and care to shelters and charity schools across Vietnam.
Speaking about the company’s long-term commitment to the project, Mr. Walt Power, CEO of The Grand Ho Tram, expressed his pride in witnessing the continued growth of Happy Chess:
“Having accompanied the Vietnam Chess Federation through several seasons of the Happy Chess Project, we are delighted to see its impact continuing to grow. From shelters in urban areas, chess has now reached children in the highlands, giving them greater opportunities to learn, develop, and experience chess in a structured environment. For The Grand Ho Tram, supporting education and sports for children is not only a commitment to the community, but also a way for us to contribute to creating sustainable values. Seeing the confidence and happiness of the children of Darahoa Village today is the most meaningful reward for our continued support.”

This is also the vision of Dr. Nguyen Tra Giang, Vice President of the Vietnam Chess Federation and Founder of the Happy Chess Project. Happy Chess is not simply about teaching children how to play chess; through chess and physical activities, the project aims to create greater and more equal opportunities for learning, meaningful experiences, and personal development for disadvantaged children.
