Yellowhead jawfish are common around the Virgin Islands but it's hard to get a close look! Next time you're diving, keep an eye out for clusters of holes in the sand. If you watch from a distance, you may see these little fish poking out! As you approach, you'll notice that they can actually swim backwards, aiming perfectly back into their shelters. Jawfish males have large heads which allow them to brood their eggs inside their mouth to keep them safe!

Nudibranchs, or sea slugs, are a family of brilliantly-colored molluscs found all over the world. They are typically very small, so make sure to look closely at the rocks and sand if you'd like to see one!
