🥇It all came together beautifully for Mikey Dizon-Bumann in the Boston Sprint Triathlon on Sunday. Congrats to Mikey on his glorious FIRST PLACE OVERALL finish. 🏊🏼‍♂️🚴🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♂️

Out of 666 participants, Mikey was the third out of the water (10:50), the second on the bike (26:49) and the first in the run (16:59), with an overall time of 57:19...that was three minutes ahead of the second place overall finisher!!

🇻🇮 What an incredible weekend celebrating 60 years of the Virgin Islands Olympic Committee and its unwavering support of VI athletes as they pursue big dreams on the global stage.
A special thank you to the VI Olympic Committee for a spectacular weekend, culminating in a beautiful gala at The Westin Beach Resort at Frenchman’s Reef in St. Thomas. It was truly moving to reflect on 60 years of dedication and impact, while also having the opportunity to connect and celebrate with fellow federations from across our territory.
The Virgin Islands Triathlon Federation was honored to be represented by Secretary Theresa Castagno Harper and Vice President Megan Mault Lambert. We are incredibly grateful to be part of this inspiring sporting community. 🏊🏽🚴‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️

Thank you Virgin Islands Olympic Committee for hosting the Values-Based Leadership Retreat on St Thomas. Day 1, facilitated by Tricia Homer of HGVenture, focused on each federation’s values. On Day 2, I’m looking forward to learning more about VIOC’s role and what works well in each federation.

The VITF Board enjoyed an afternoon of sharing and demonstrating their sports at Kidsville: Olympic Day on Sunday. President Stephen Swanton, probably put in 10 miles on the stationary bike and 3 miles of running! Several of the fast kids even beat him in the running race! 🙌 All participants earned a fun VITF shoe charm for trying and a coupon for the next Junior Tri VI event. Save the date for the Great Pumpkin Junior Duathlon on Nov 8!
