The VITF Board enjoyed an afternoon of sharing and demonstrating their sports at Kidsville: Olympic Day on Sunday. President Stephen Swanton, probably put in 10 miles on the stationary bike and 3 miles of running! Several of the fast kids even beat him in the running race! 🙌 All participants earned a fun VITF shoe charm for trying and a coupon for the next Junior Tri VI event. Save the date for the Great Pumpkin Junior Duathlon on Nov 8!

Today is World Olympic Day!! In celebration of the Olympic Movement, please join us for a day of fun activities this Sunday. The VITF, along with many other VI sports federations, will be at the Children's Museum in Carlton presenting activities and fun demonstrations of our sports. Bring the whole family!

We had a mermazing morning at Cane Bay Beach with over 50 participants, many volunteers, great raffle prizes, homemade treats and...Mutiny Mermaid Water! Swim/Run Relay Event for Fitness-Minded Women: Sunday, May 17, Cane Bay Beach, STX

Mutiny Mermaid Mixer - Sunday, May 17 @ 8am

How To Register For the Mutiny Mermaid Mixer:
1. Onsite registration will be open from 7am to 7:45am. $10 entry
2. Decide if you will sign up as a swimmer (400-meter swim) or as a runner (2-mile run). We will add your name to the appropriate bucket. *If you are able to swim and run both distances, please bring goggles AND sneakers, just in case we need to balance out the relay teams.
3. Once registration is closed at 7:45am, we will randomly draw a name from the swimmer bucket and a name from the runner bucket to form teams. Both teammates will be given the same race number.
4. The 400-meter swim will begin promptly at 8am. Swimmers will tag their teammates on the beach, and the runners will head out to the road for their out-and-back 2-mile run.
5. In place of medals for the top teams, all mermaids will receive a special gift for participating...in addition to the chance to win a few great raffle prizes!

This relay event is just for the ladies (Mermen are welcome cheer and encourage)

We had a wonderful Mother’s Day morning, complete with an awesome bike ride, great home-baked muffins and fruit, and a bubbly toast to all of the lovely ladies in our lives!
