Today, our service took us beyond the shores of Tortola and across the beautiful waters to our sister island of Jost Van D**e, as we had the privilege of serving the family of the late Adina Martin Hendricks.
There is something deeply meaningful about traveling from island to island in service to a family. From the journey across the sea, to arriving in a close-knit community gathered to say farewell, we were reminded once again that distance is never an obstacle when a family entrusts their loved one to our care.
For Davis Funeral Home/Tortola Memorial Services, funeral service is more than what happens inside a chapel or at a graveside. It is about being present—wherever we are needed—and ensuring that every detail is handled with dignity, compassion and professionalism.

Today, we pause to give honor to the life, legacy, and influence of Margret V. Ward, of blessed memory.
Some lives leave an imprint that extends far beyond the years they are given. Through the people they loved, the lives they touched, the lessons they shared, and the memories they created, their influence continues long after they have departed this earthly life.
Margret Ward was such a life.
As family, friends, and the wider community reflect upon her journey, we join them in remembering a woman whose presence and influence will not soon be forgotten. Though the pain of loss is real, there is also gratitude — gratitude for her life, for her contribution, and for the privilege of having known and loved her.

ANOTHER LIFE HONORED • ANOTHER FAMILY SERVED 🕊️
As our three-funeral day continues, the team at Davis Funeral Home/Tortola Memorial Services now turns our attention to the service celebrating the life of Linell Calvin Huggins, affectionately known as “SUGAR.”
Every funeral service should reflect something meaningful about the person whose life is being remembered. Today, a conch shell has been carefully placed in the hands of SUGAR — a personal touch specifically requested by his family.
It may seem like a small detail to some, but to a grieving family, these personal touches can carry tremendous meaning. They tell a story. They preserve a connection. They help ensure that the final presentation of a loved one reflects the life, memories, and traditions that family members hold dear.
